The Floorshakers will pack the huge dance floor with funk, soul and rock 'n roll on New Years, 2007. They'll play great music from the 70's, 80's and 90's at the San Ramon Marriott New Years Eve Party. If that isn't enough, you can check out DJ Mike Westerman in another huge ballroom or have fun with casino gaming get a portrait taken with immediate prints from a professional photographer. Also enjoy the antics of a professional MIME entertainer. Get energy drink samples and samples of "eat chocolate, lose weight." Check out American Laser skin treatment exhibit and maybe win thousands of dollars in free treatment. Mingle and party with more than 1000 friendly couples and SINGLES. All ages are welcome, but underage drinking is not condoned or allowed. Those of drinking age can enjoy two free drinks and a champagne toast. Free bar snacks are available. Party fee is $65 in advance or $75 at the door. Advance tickets available at the hotel any time before 6pm on 12/31/07 with no service fee. The second half of the show started out with a bang! Smoke filled the stage and the theater filled with excitement as the audience anticipated the arrival of “The Floorshakers.” Louie Esposito led the group in a highly energized rendition of KC and The Sunshine Band’s, “Get Down Tonight.”
Esposito danced across the stage exuding insurmountable energy and stamina while getting the audience revved up for a performance they may never forget.
Dressed liken to “The Men In Black,” wearing sunglasses, a colorful bandana and gold beads strung around his neck, Esposito and the remaining Floorshakers; lead Guitarist, Douglas Mascardo; Trombonist-Keyboardist, Dave Arms; Saxophonist, Gino Archimede; Trumpet man, Rudy Vera; Bassist, Dave Lopez ( who also performed two solo bits); and Drummer Mike Di Francesco, opened the show for lead singer, Gerald Glasper.
Glasper made his presence known with the group’s version of “Back in Love Again, by the singing group, LTD.
